Maintain contact and apply side pressure
Adapt to runs, slack line and overload.
- Watch tension, rod bend and fish direction. E guides; it does not reel in fixed hand-rod line.
- Avoid sustained overload during runs. Use Q/R side pressure and Z/X rod angle, or the sliders.
- Prepare the net as the fish tires and approaches; do not hoist a heavy fish by fine line.
What should you do during sustained overload?
Use it on real water
Maintaining contact and avoiding high-sticking transfer to real practice; tackle and current require different handling, and local forces are uncalibrated.
